The Story of This Blog

I am choosy with the challenges I take. I may catch one between my teeth and crunch at it with all my might. Others I elude. I have been eluding writing this blog for as long as I can, for many different reasons as you will realize soon. The title itself is heavy to bear as it is. Beautiful Feet. I have not been up to the bible's definition of the phrase of late, and so I have put this debut off for even longer. But now, I am taking on the challenge.

This blog arises from the challenges I chose to throw at myself. Carefully picked but at the same time, with a sense of destiny, I feel like I was born for them, like God has set me up to accomplish them.

I am challenging myself to run like I've never done before. To run longer than I have ever gone. To run faster without regard for mile management (it's a runner thing ;)) To train with a discipline I never thought I'd muster.

I am challenging myself to write like I've never done before. To write not only more, but deeper, more relevantly. More beautifully. Artfully. In such a way that it reaches out to the soul. And inspires it to greater things.

I am challenging myself to go places like I have never done before. Not maybe farther or more often (although that would be great as well) but to find beauty in every place I go. To find God in every corner. Or to bring Him there.

Lastly, I am challenging myself to grow in my faith like I've never experienced before. To seek God, even more passionately, to learn to  rely on Him more consistently, more completely. And to be conformed to His likeness more and more.

I am putting up this blog as an audit of sorts.  A place to keep track of what I have committed to. So yes please, follow my progress here and feedback on me. In turn, I am throwing this challenge back at the occasional reader. Go challenge yourself and run along with me.
